Meet Me
Hiya! My name is Nadine Kamm-Ramirez, I’m currently living in Edinburgh Scotland pursuing my PhD in bioengineering & biophysics at Heriot-Watt University.
Background
I grew up in Ontario, Canada, to parents who immigrated from Paraguay, making me a first-generation Canadian. As a first-gen Canadian, I grew up speaking Spanish and Guarani at home, and French and English in school.
Education
I obtained my Bachelor of Science (Honours), summa cum laude, from Carleton University, with a specialisation in biology and biotechnology. During my undergraduate studies, I undertook extensive laboratory work, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of research environments. Additionally, elements of business start-up development and marketing strategy were integrated into the curriculum as part of the biotechnology aspect.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering and Biophysics at Heriot-Watt University.
